Septic tank cleaning, inspections, and maintenance in Berrien, Van Buren and Cass Counties
Locate, Uncover & Pump Tank plus a drop camera inspection
We will locate the septic tank and access point. The tank is then opened, and the liquid level is checked, which may indicate if the tank is leaking or if it is overfull. As long as the level is normal, then water is introduced to the system to make sure the water is flowing from the house to the tank, and then from the tank to the absorption area. The liquid level should not rise in the tank and there should be no surfacing effluent over any portion of the system.
Next, the tank is pumped down to check for backflow from the absorption area, which indicates if the absorption area is absorbing the wastewater that was introduced. The flow from the house to the tank is checked to make sure everything is connected to the system and can indicate if there may be blockages in the house plumbing or in the sewer line between the house and the tank.
Our drop camera system checks the conditions of the tank and checks the inlet and outlet as well as other components of the system. The daylight viewable display gives us a crisp and detailed HD video for a full report of your septic system and drainpipes. This allows us to view any potential problems. You will also be provided a detailed report of work done with pictures.

Septic Systems are subterranean: therefore, it is impossible to determine their overall condition. Also, when no water is entering the field lines (the house is vacant) a determination of their status is difficult. No prediction can be made as to when the system might fail. This report comments on the workability of the system on the day of inspection only and is in no way intended to be a warranty. Workability can be altered by factors such as rainfall, heavy water usage, faulty plumbing, neglect, or physical damage to the system. All tanks require pumping maintenance.
Locate, Uncover & Pump Tank plus Observe Tank Conditions with a scope camera
Everything in the Standard package plus our camera system that uses the latest technology and is made specifically for the harsh conditions related to sewer lateral inspections. This camera allows us to see the inlet that goes from the house to the tank. From there we can see if there’s a damaged pipe or corrosion that requires repair, a camera inspection saves us time by telling us where to dig or expose the pipes in
question.
